Puppy ABCs focuses on:

• SOCIALIZATION

• FEAR PREVENTION

• GROOMING AND VET PREP

• PUPPY PLAY/SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

• HOUSETRAINING, BITING, CHEWING, CRATE TIME AND ALONE TIME TRAINING SUPPORT

• FIRST STEPS FOR SIT, DOWN, COME WHEN CALLED, LEASH SKILLS AND NO JUMP GREETINGS

  
  

• CLASS MEETS TWICE A WEEK! Sundays at 10:30 am AND Wednesdays at 4:30pm

• We keep our classes small to provide you and your pup with lots of personal attention!

Your Puppy Program includes puppy playgroup for building social skills & confidence

we know now that during puppyhood and adolescence, play has a significant roll for the future dogs they will become!

This is also a great time for you to learn more about BODY LANGUAGE, WHAT IS GREAT AND NOT SO GREAT IN PLAY, & HELP YOU BUILD CONFIDENCE ABOUT YOUR OWN DOG!

Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm
in the Lucky Fido Training Studio

During this short developmental period in puppies, well run play with same age group puppies is where social skills are learned. I have been running these playgroups for over 6 years and it is still magical to me how much they are learning from each other and how much we can help them develop good play skills that will last a life time!

PUPPY 2 - INTO ADOLESCENCE

NEW TO LUCKY FIDO PUPPIES MUST COMPLETE AN EVALUATION BEFORE BEING ACCEPTED

ages 5-12 months

FOR PUPPIES WHO HAVE COMPLETED PUPPY ABCS

This is a critical time for you and your young adolescent to deepen your bond & connection, and to give both you & your changing pup skills for managing their emotional world. 

The Adolescent Brain is still forming in dogs for up to 2-3 years, and possibly beyond.  Many dogs may look mature at 2, but their brain is still the brain of a puppy/adolescent.

IN THIS CLASS you and your pup will,

• Continue to develop social/play skills with reliable friends, LOTS OF PLAY TIME

• Dig into the things that will help their developing bodies & brains, and make training more accessible to them, such as

  • Continue to build useful, effective Manners Skills
    LEASH SKILLS, COMING WHEN CALLED, STAY, NO JUMP GREETINGS, AND ADD A FEW NEW SKILLS!

  • Decompression and Relaxation,

  • Increasing Emotional Resiliency,

  • Deeper Bonding and Connection.   

  • Building Frustration Tolerance

  • Adolescent Socialization

  • Consent, Choice and Agency! Lots of OFF leash work in this class!

Please Note: In order to offer you and your dog the best experience, and as there is an important off leash component to Adolescent Classes, we require that you attend a free evaluation session to aid us in properly placing your pup in the right class.

PUPPY 3 - ACING ADOLESCENCE

ONGOING STUDENTS FROM PUPPY 2 UP TO 18 MONTHS

NEW TO LUCKY FIDO PUPPIES BY EVALUATION

We hope you are loving the feeling of safety that you and your youngster are feeling with your group! Stick with us in Puppy 3 for more and more! We can start to take some of our skills on the road as well as building new skills! Group Walks, Exploration, Skills in the Wild, and of course, PLAY!

This class will be limited to grads of previous puppy and adolescent classes, as well as new teams who have undergone a FREE EVALUATION.

The importance of safety is at the top of my list for you and your pup, so new candidates will be screened for fit. Dogs who continue to have raucous adolescent play, with dogs they feel safe with, build better confidence and resilience and that matters!

SATURDAYS at 12:30PM

i CARE VERY MUCH ABOUT THE DOGS IN MY CARE AND
AM DILIGENT ABOUT MAKING SURE THAT ALL THE DOGS FEEL HAPPY AND SAFE IN CLASSES.

1. IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY A STUDENT OR CLIENT PLEASE SIGN UP FOR A FREE CLASS EVALUATION TO ALLOW ME TO ASSESS WHICH OF OUR ADOLESCENT CLASSES WILL THE BEST FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR PUP!
   

2. BECAUSE THIS CLASS HAS AN IMPORTANT OFF LEASH COMPONENT, IT IS BEST SUITED TO ONLY DOGS WHO ARE ALWAYS FREINDLY WITH OTHER DOGS.
