LICKIMATS

I use these so much! From Puppies to Seniors and all the dogs and situations in between!

There are several versions including my faves:

  • Lickimat UFO, this one is durable and holds a lot! It also has suction cups!

  • Lickimat Soother, this is the one I use most though it might not be appropriate to leave with a heavy chewer. For Vet and Groomer visits though it is a MUST.

  • Lickimat Keeper - The keeper holds your soother in a frame that suctions to the floor! Very cool, and should prevent chewing up the Lickimat!

A GREAT HARNESS is a must!

A good harness should fit so that it doesn’t cross the shoulder joints and doesn’t cross the chest.
Ideally you want a harness that has a back clip (a front clip is nice too, but necessary), and absolutely no squeezing feature such as the Sporn brand harness has.
We don’t need to squeeze our dogs growing bodies to help them learn to be good leash partners.
Our favorites:

Ruffwear Brand - we love all of them but these 2 are our most used.

Flagline - this is a good choice for long bodied dogs, and
for dogs who are harness escape artists!

Front Range - This is a nice harness with a small profile
and a favorite!

Blue - 9

Balance Harness - this a strappy harness which some people prefer. It is also great for dogs who are head shy as it has a neck buckle!

TREAT POUCHES

When it comes to Treat Pouches or Bait Bags,
we have a few musts!

  • Must be big and deep so that treats don’t spill out and so that we can fit plenty of goodies!

  • Must be available in a variety of colors and patterns since it will be part of our outfit every single day!

  • Must have pockets for things like poop bags and phone.

  • Must be durable

The Dog Gone Good Clicker Company’s

Rapid Rewards Pouch is our favorite and the one we carry in our studio. If you want a smaller bag, you can have a look at their Trek n Train bag!

Some people use a fanny pack which is a great choice too!
