The First 2 YEARS WITH YOUR DOG ARE THE MOST CRUCIAL FOR BUILDING A LIFELONG PARTNERSHIP

PUPPIES

Following the recommendation of the American Veterinary Society, we want to get PUPPIES into quality socialization classes and playgroups as early as one week past their first shots! Usually around 8-9 weeks old!

TEENAGE OR ADOLESCENCE

in Dogs begins somewhere around 5 months and continues until social maturity. This occurs somewhere around 18 months up to a few years of age. Social Maturity is marked by the final developmental pieces of the brain, which is UNDER CONSTRUCTION UNTIL THEN!

Our classes for Puppies and Teens are built around Developmental Milestones, Building Confidence, Bonding, Resilience and Companionship, and giving you the TOOLS to UNDERSTAND YOUR DOG.

Enormously important at Lucky Fido is the support and sense of community for you, the human, as you navigate these early years!

MANNERS AND LIFE SKILLS

Some dogs come into our lives already adults! So, for ALL DOGS we have Manners/Life Skills Classes!

Why ”LIFE SKILLS”? Well, because frankly the decades of caring ONLY that our dogs can sit and stay are in our rear view mirror! While these may be important tools for you and your pup, we ALSO care about how the dog understands these behaviors, giving the dogs tools that THEY can use too, and fostering a learning environment based on relationship, mutual satisfaction, and need!
